Heuristics
Heuristics are ten general principles for User Interface Design. They are not usability guidelines but rules of thumb.
Interviews
To get the user's perspective on the website, a set (appropriate mix of the target audience) of user's are interviewed.
Task Analysis
Task Analysis as the name suggests is the study how users perform a particular task. What are they actually doing versus what they should be doing. As Usability experts we analyse these deviations and build a path which is intuitive for the user. Task Analysis starts by identifying key work flows and analysing various steps involved and ends with better ways of performing the same tasks.
Focus Group Studies
Focus Group Study is initiated to understand how groups of people feel or think about a particular product. It is also to understand why certain opinions are held. These insights help in improving the product’s performance. It can be used to evaluate an existing Design or could be done for a prototype.
A/B Testing
A/B test starts with identifying a goal for your company and which pages are critical to the successful completion of that goal. An A/B test involves testing two versions of a web/mobile page — an A version (the control) and a B version (the variation) — with live traffic and measuring the effect each version has on your conversion rate.
